What if this is really true? There’s going to be some pissy people out there if the Rapture really does come!
Not much for an update today. I’m seeing my girl today. She said they started some physical therapy yesterday, mainly to try to strengthen her torso so she can sit in her chair for longer periods of time. She also said they worked on her back some, which she said helped.
On a side note, I don’t know what I would do without my friends. :-)

Reblogging because you know, someone out there could use one of these.
Tam has been fighting off a cold for the last week or so, but seems to be doing better. Her bedsores are healing, which is always good, and I’m still jazzed that the nursing staff are still listening to me regarding her positioning, condition, etc. She still has times that she’s kind of out of it, but I don’t see that improving ever. We’re on the list for a low income apartment, but I still need to find out more details regarding that, because if it will be a similar situation to the one we were in in Fallon, I don’t want to just be in the same spot regarding her health and safety.
I just got back from a camping trip that several friends were going to up at a semi local area called Crystal Peak. It’s in California (NOT a fan of that state, but the site was pretty nice) and the area was National Forest and free. Which means there were NO “amenities” as it were. No pads to set a tent on, restrooms, cooking grills, etc. Been a while since I’ve camped at that level, but it was really good to just get out of town and away for 4 days.
I’m getting back into LARP (Live Action Role Playing) which is kind of a combination of tabletop role playing game and improv theater. You make a character like in tabletop, but you act out and dress as the character. The game is Vampire, the Masquerade, so no, I’m not wearing armor and waving a plastic sword. It’s a really nice diversion from things, and I’ve always enjoyed it. I’ve played in several LARPs over the years, so I’m not exactly new to the experience.
I hope this finds my very few followers doing well, and I’ll try to update more often than I have been.
Travelers in the 19th century would purchase ‘vampire hunting kits’ in preparation for their travels to Eastern Europe. The kits would contain a wooden stake, Bible, crucifix, pistol with lead bullets, gunpowder, garlic and glass vials that held various concoctions to ward off vampires. Interestingly, these kits predated Bram Stoker’s Dracula and other written accounts of vampires, pointing to the strong oral history component of the undead bloodsucker.
This “kit” is such a HUGE crock of shit… The knife and the derringer are of modern construction. Yes, there WERE “vampire kits”, but this thing sure as shit ISN’T one fo them. It MAY have started out that way, but I’m sure parts are missing, and they were replaced by some nitwit with the aforementioned replacements.
Ok, done with the rant…
Live Action Role Playing… think improv public theater. The game is Vampire The Masquerade. I’ve been involved in LARPs off and on for years. I think this one is my 5th(?) or so I’ve been involved in. For those that know anything about Vampire, or LARP, I’m playing my first Ventrue… usually I go with Gangrel or Ravnos, when I can find someone foolish enough to allow one, lol. If something happens to this character, I’m still kind of up in the air as to what to play next… don’t want to repeat myself, so maybe a Brujah or Tremere are on the “possibles” list.
As far as real life… life goes on… not much for changes.
Later all.
Well, I have an appointment with the lawyer that will be trying to get me some spousal support, so they won’t gut Tami’s check while she’s in the nursing home. It’s 3 weeks away, but no biggie. I’m HOPING that we can get some extra cash coming in, if nothing else, to pay the rent on the soon to be new to us place. Medicaid is helping us get into a place of our own, that depending on the place, will either have a nurse on call, or checks on us several times a day, depending on which place, but I’m sure it’s not free, regardless of our income. I am sure it’s adjusted rent, based on our income, but still, it’s rare for that sort of setup to be FREE.
Anyhow, I hadn’t posted on here in a bit, so I thought I’d post. BTW Chris, yes, Tami liked the pics, and said your son looked “onerier than cat shit”. :) CUTE, but ONERY…
